Our next scheduled TGC East Bay Lunch will once again be held at The Fourth Bore in Orinda. The last time we met we had a decent attendance as well as some good conversation around the The Gospel Coalition Foundational Documents. This time lets focus on article 3 of the Theological Vision for Ministry (the Contextualization Issue).

Some questions to consider:

1. What does it mean to be "counter-culture for the common good"? What does it not mean?

2. Where do you and your church tend to lean on the contextualization scale, i.e. Under-Contextualize (1) to Over-Contextualize (10) - think on a scale of 1-10.  Why?  How are you hoping to make progress toward a Biblical Balance?

3. What pitfalls or stumbling blocks have you experienced as you seek to flesh out the Contextualization principle?
